Barber Liberty Head silver dimes, also called Barber dimes, are 90% silver coins minted from 1892 to 1916 and designed by U.S. Mint Chief Engraver Charles Barber. The obverse features a right-facing profile of Liberty wearing a cap and laurel wreath, while the reverse shows a wreath surrounding the words "ONE DIME". The design was shared with the quarter and half dollar of the same period and is considered Barber's masterpiece.
